You can’t minister using that…

If only I had a nickel for every time I have heard that phrase. After 8 years of competing in NASCAR and using this sport as a platform to share the Gospel, there is one thing I know for sure — God doesn’t limit how we share the Gospel. I’ll be the first to tell you that I don’t have all the answers. What I do know is that God equips us and gives us talents to use for His glory, no matter what the grey hairs think. Now, don’t get me wrong — I love my elders, and I have many that support our ministry to their fullest capacity.

I have seen countless students and adults come to know the life-saving power of Jesus because of the NASCAR Ministry. When I am told that you can’t reach a bunch of drunk rednecks, I am reminded of the young man that came and talked to me at the track saying he was ready to end his life when he came across one of my videos. That led him to watch more videos, which led him to church, where he gave his heart and life to Christ!

I’m reminded of the story of the lady whose husband had left, daughter was arrested, and she was at the end of her rope…. Until she met Jesus. Or what about the lady that was diagnosed with cancer, and God used our team to give her hope and pray with her. Now today, she is CANCER FREE… But God can’t use NASCAR?! Oh, but He can and will… IF we LET Him.

No matter what God has called you to do — whether full time ministry, or a carpenter — God wants to use you to share His story. It doesn’t matter if you are a cook, a public servant, trash collector, hold an elected office or a CEO for a big company, God wants to use you with the talents He has given you. The question is… Will you let Him?

I challenge you to look at your gifts, your talents and abilities and see what God would have you to do. Take the initiative to be a Kingdom Changer. There are hundreds of people we encounter every single day seeking to fill a void that no one can fill. If you are a follower of Christ, then you have been commanded to share that story, and why wouldn’t we?

We have the answer to the worst epidemic ever. It is only found through the resurrecting power of the Gospel. So the question is: What are you doing with the gifts God has given you?
